Although admired by Michael Jackson, aging rockers Kiss have been axed from the Tribute Concert for Michael Jackson.

The band was embarrassingly axed just hours after being invited to join the line-up up by organisers Global Live.

The axed rockers have been removed from the line-up after front-man Gene Simmons recently told the Classic Rock magazine “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. There’s no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt.”

Jackson was cleared of molestation charges after a high profile trial in California in 2005.

Global Live described the booking as an “oversight” adding “Even though Kiss is a band Michael admired, we have no choice but to rescind our invitation for them to appear”.

What this actually says to me is that Global Live are so  far removed from this concert, they don’t’ really care who appears as long as they do and have so far only confirmed they have got it wrong from the beginning.

Sadly bands have been turning down the invitation to perform at the Millennium Stadium on the 8th October, so they seem to be having to really scrape the bottom of the barrel to come up with the bands such as Kiss!

I have recently posted a blog on the concert being under threat, and now this latest decision just reinforces my view that the whole thing is now jinxed.

Fans of Wacko Jacko and his brother Jermaine  have been justified with their feelings with the decision to invite Kiss to appear at the tribute concert, especially after the long tongued star  Simmons  called Michael a “hard core child abuser”; strong words indeed!

Jermaine tweeted saying the bosses of  Global Events are “getting it all wrong”. He is still adamant that the concert should go ahead after the trial of the doctor, accused of killing Jacko, has been finalised. Jermaine is obviously biased over decisions being made by Global Live, and will now be seen to be picking holes in every aspect of this tribute concert.

Global Live – Will they hold their nerve?

So, the list of mistakes and mishaps grows longer, this latest setback can only make the promoters very nervous indeed, will they hold their nerve?

The line-up of this reportedly 4 hour concert so far is, Smokey Robinson, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green JLS and Craig David, these guys are gonna have to pull out all the stops to make this a memorable occasion that’s fitting for the King of Pop.
