This weeks Music Video Of The Week goes to Green Day with American Idiot.

American Idiot is the single from Green day’s seventh studio album of the same name, which was released on 21st September 2004.

Their single American Idiot was the first Billboard Hot 100 chart entry, which went to number 61, and helped to revive the band’s flagging career.

The pop-punk trio have announced that they will be playing a “secret” gig today in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in California. Nice work if you can get it!

In 2010, a stage adaption of American Idiot debuted on Broadway, the musical received positive reviews and has been nominated for several Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Scenic Design.

In April of this year a film version of American Idiot was confirmed. Michael Mayer director of the Broadway musical will direct the film.
