Described by the Times Newspaper as “The most peculiar and most highly acclaimed female singer of the moment”, Florence and The Machine start their UK tour at the Hammersmith Apollo on 15th May 2010.

London born Florence Welch, and a collaboration of other artists, who provide the backing music for her voice, promise a theatrical performance with a soul and indie sound and many changes of ” weird” clothes.

The BBC promoted Florence and The Machine as part of BBC Introducing. this lead to playing music festivals in 2008 including, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds and T in the Park.

Since then, Florence and the Machine have won best British Album of 2010 at Britawards, where she performed brilliantly and live with Dizzee Rascal with “You got the love” remix “You Got the Dirtee love ” which has now been released in the charts.

Katherine Jenkins has a voice of an angel, she will be kick starting her tour on 4th March 2010 at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland.

The former music teacher from Neath in Wales, signed the largest UK classical recording deal in the UK classical recording history in 2008.

Most recently Katherine Jenkins has been reported to be “Thrilled and Honoured” to be approached by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the composer she idolised as a child, to sing the title track in the new musical “Love Never Dies”.

Katherine Jenkins has been busy since the New Year and has recently been a judge on the hit Sky 1 television show “Pop Star to Opera Star”.

Cliff Richard in Concert

60? Really?

Sir Cliff Richard OBE will be celebrating his 70th Birthday this year.

Bursting onto the scene in 1958,   established him in Europe as the first Rock and Roll Star.

Born on 14th October 1940 in India as Roger Harry Webb,  Cliff Richard is to mark this occassion, by appearing  live with six concerts at the Royal Albert Hall from 11th October 2010.

Mika is a trained opera singer, and appeared on Popstar to Opera Star in February 2010, singing a classical version of “Rain” from his second album “The Boy Who Knew too Much” released in 2009.

Mikas’ first album “Life in Cartoon Motion” sold over 5.6 Million copies worldwide, which helped him win a Britaward.

His “Life in Cartoon Motion” tour, was energetic, fun and felt like you were at  one big colourful party, with lots of animated characters,  for the hit single “Big Girls” Mika filled the stage with fantastic  over the top “Big Girls”. The audience were encouraged to join in with all of his fantastic songs, which he writes himself.

Mika will be playing later in the year at the Eden Project in Devon on the 27th June 2010, what a fantastic place for another colourful party from Mika.

Funny man Peter Kay has started his first tour for 7 years, “The Tour that doesn’t tour” tour!!

Peter kay was born in Farmworth Nr. Bolton, England, he is not only a very talented comedian, but he is a writer, producer director and actor.

With only less than a year in standup comedy,  in 1997 Peter kay won “so you think you’re funny” competition.

That was followed with “That Peter Kay Thing” the fantastic “Pheonix Nights” and “Max and Paddys’ Road to Nowhere”.

Peter Kay is brilliant live and will have the audience in hysterics, but the funny man has a generous side to him and he has added 3 more dates to his tour, tickets go on sale today, all proceeds to this low key affair will go to the Haiti Relief Fund.

The Winners of Britains Got Talent ,are appearing in  a special live performance at Alton Towers In Staffordshire, on 27th February 2010.

Diversity will then kick start their tour at Winter Garden, in Margate on 23rd March 2010.

The 10 members of Diversity are all lads from London, England, and formed in 2007.   Before winning  Britains Got Talent, they won the  UK Dance Championships. The chemistry you see on stage is very real, these fantastic dancers are aged from 12 to 25 and have grownup together in London.

Within 3 years, they are national stars, Ashley the oldest member and the choreographer, is now a star judge on Sky 1 Got to Dance.

Just watching this amazing dance group will give you goosebumps, they are imaginative and funny with ultra creative and technically proficient dance routines.

These lads will shock you with their rare talent and  hilarious clever routines.

Pendulum

The Australian electronic rock and drum band Pendulum, kick start their “Immersion Tour” at The Corn Exchange, Edinburgh in Scotland.

Pendulum, originally from Perth Australia, are famous for their energetic live shows and visual displays. Formed in 2002 by three musicians, Pendulum moved to the UK in 2003.

They have released 5 albums, but it wasn’t until Radio 1 A listed them with “Propane Nightmares “from the album “Silico”,  in 2009   they made  it in mainstream music, and pushed  their way through the charts.

Their fantastic live appearances at festivals thoughout the UK show how diverse, fast and enthusiastic this band really  are, live performances are what they do best.

The whole of the album “Silico”  shows how serious Pendulum are about their music, and to top this, it is a fantastic fast and furious album to run to!!!!  Try running slowly to “Midnight Runner” to see what I mean.

The welsh rock band Stereophonics, are on tour , next month starting at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle upon Tyne in Tyne and Wear.

Described as “Classic UK rock delivered with whiskey vocals” Stereophonics have been praised for their live performances, which have landed them headlining spots at V Festival, Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds.

Stereophonics named after a record player belonging to Band member Stuart Cable, released their debut album “Word gets Around” in 1997 and went straight to number 6 in the UK album charts.

Listed in the Observer Newspaper as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy,  Staffordshire funny man Dave Gorman starts his tour on the 11th February 2010 Starting at the Charter Theatre in Preston.

Dave Gorman is famous for his hit Television show “Are you Dave Gorman”  on which he called all Dave Gormans throughout Britain. Strangely fantastic!.

Gorman Co wrote 3 series of  “Mrs Merton Show” and has also been involved in the famous “Fast Show” and with Harry Hill, he has also appeared on “Have I Got News for You”, and “They Think its All Over”.

Born in Surbiton, Surrey to a policeman and a Probation Officer, Clary is famous for his innuendos and double entendre, his deliberate stereotypical camp style has to be seen.

If you have ever seen his hilarious high – camp television game show,  “sticky Moments with Julian Clary”, it is understandable why he is so popular as a live standup comedian.

Clary has also been involved in the ITV Pantomimes playing every camp character you can think of!!
