This young boy-band has become one of the newest world-wide hits after they competed against each other on The X Factor.

The boys didn’t qualify as solo artists, but an ingenious decision to put them through as a boyband has led to world wide domination!

Their debut album, which followed their success after the X Factor, Up all Night immediately shot to the top of the UK chats in the first week of its release.

Winning their first Brit Award, making music history in the US,  selling out at each of their concert tours and playing to packed out screaming audiences has shown that this young group of lads are already at the top of their career, and there is no time like the present to cash in on a world tour.

So, with massive hype and publicity the band have announced they will tour the world with their ‘Where We Are World Tour’ in 2014.

There is no doubt that tickets to see One Direction are going to be in high demand, but BritEvents will have 1D tickets available for  fans on Saturday 25 May at 10am.

They have confirmed four dates in the UK which include 28 May at the Stadium Of Light in Sunderland, Etihad Stadium in Manchester on 31 May, Murrayfield Stadium on 3 June and finishing at the Wembley Stadium on 7 June 2014.

Make sure you click on these links to receive ticket alerts,  latest One Direction news, great deals and special offers.

The band have been rumoured to have more dates up their sleeve, so make sure you keep a close eye on for the release of more One Direction Tickets and UK tour dates.

A new album is to be released later this year and will be supported with their tour, the boys have been teasing fans about their new album saying  they have moved direction and have taken a slightly rockier tone with an edgier sound to it.

The Jonus Brothers did it and with much success, so why not One Direction!!

The lads are still very young, but have achieved  much success in their life so far, let’s all hope that they don’t go down the same road as JLS and fizzle out after a few years.

The boys have said that the music is growing with them, keeping their music fresh and up to date is a sure-fire way of keeping them band on trend.

Good luck to Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik on their worldwide jaunt!! for 1D tickets on 25 May at 10am!

Although 40 years may have passed since the release of Mike Oldfield’s ground-breaking and best-selling Tubular Bells album the music still has the power to inspire and amaze.

Tubular Bells tours the UK

If you listened carefully during the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony you will have heard a brief re-arrangement used in the piece celebrating the NHS.

Fast forward from 1973 and the three sequels Oldfield released in the 1990’s to 2008 and Australia. Picture two musicians, Aidan Roberts and Daniel Holdsworth, who are long-time friends, sat around a camp fire, trying to play Tubular Bells the whole way through, using only their two guitars. That’s how Tubular Bells For Two, the multi-award winning musical show was born.

It took them nine months of rehearsal and the introduction of nineteen other instruments, but eventually the pair were able to perform the album live and its no exaggeration to say that their show has gone from strength to strength since. After wowing audiences Down Under and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Tubular Bells For Two is ready to hit London, with its premiere at Union Chapel in Islington on May 25..

When Mike Oldfield released his 1973 classic, it required more than 30 musicians to perform it. But now, exactly 40 years later, it just takes two musicians, albeit massively talented ones, to recreate the album on stage, in real-time and in a unique and compelling theatrical experience.

The original album shot to number one around the world, throwing its young composer into the international spotlight whilst kick-starting Richard Branson’s Virgin empire.

You really must get tickets to the show to witness the herculean feat of Daniel Holdsworth and Aidan Roberts racing from instrument to instrument , juggling pianos, organs, guitars, mandolin, drums, glockenspiel, loop pedals, synthesizers and, of course, Tubular Bells.

These amazing musicians  recreate the beauty and playful lunacy of one of the most important albums of the 20th Century … with just four hands and four feet.

Due to phenominal public demand, Micky Flanagan has announced another date at the NIA as part of his ‘Back in the Game’ tour.
Extra date added for Micky Flanagan at the NIA

Micky Flanagan adds an extra date to the NIA

The British comedian has once again extended his tour to include Saturday 9 November at the NIA in Birmingham.

This ‘Back in the Game’ tour follows his very successful ‘Out Out’ tour which received massive critical and commercial success, and this extra date follows the announcement made earlier this year that the comedian will be playing the NIA in March and November.

The Londoner is really at the top of his game and seems to have appeared from nowhere, but winning the Best Breakthrough act at the British Comedy Awards and his appearances on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road show and Live at the Apollo, Micky has now become one of the top comedians in the UK.

Tickets to see Micky Flanagan are available from BritEvents now, tickets for the extra date  on 9 November at the NIA will go on sale on BritEvents on Saturday 16 March.

A family friendly festival in Gloucestershire

As  massive fans of the family music event Nibley Festival, BritEvents is looking forward to a fab weekend and this year is going to be a corker with some massive bands, big names and some up and comers in the music industry.
Size Of A Cow?

Let’s get Dizzy!!

Headlining this year’s Nibley Festival is alternative rock group The Wonder Stuff.

The Wonder stuff are Famous for their hit track ‘Size of a Cow’ and for teaming up with comedian Vic Reeves, with their successful hit single Dizzy which  went straight to the top of the charts. They have had 5 top 40 albums and 13 top 40 singles in the UK. The band have never been tempted to follow a celebrity image or lifestyle, but their gigs are  about having fun and delivering great music, what a perfect match for Nibley Festival!

A right Royal welcome goes to the next headliner King Charles.

This classically trained singer has been writing music from the age of 17. In 2009 King Charles was awared the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, which resulted in the Glam-Folk Pop artist being signed by Universal Republic/Island.  I, for one, am looking forward to seeing King Charles perform live at Nibley – what a treat!

All bow to the King

A right royal knees up at Nibley

Another band performing at this years festival is the first Ukulele Supergroup The Rinky Dinks.

Formed in 2006 the band’s philosophy has always been about borrowing songs and giving them a Ukulele twist. They have an eclectic mix of music from ska, swing, bluegrass and house. The band were called “one of the highlights of the year” when they appeared on BBC Radio 6 Music Breakfast show with DJ Shaun Keaveny.

The Three Kings are f*cking amazing said Craig Charles.

Heralded by Craig Charles, who called them ‘f**king amazing’ Three Kings High will be joining the Nibley line-up.  Even the band themselves are unsure of the genre of music they fall into, but as Nibley Festival say, think of bass slapping funk, lyrically rich hip hop mixed with a dash of indie, stir in some energy and fun and you may well have found the perfect summer music cocktail.

Joining King Charles in Three Kings High at Nibley!

These are just a few of the awesome bands that I am looking forward to seeing at Nibley festival this year. For the full line-up and more information on one of BritEvents top ten best Festivals in the UK then go to their website or check out the details on Nibley Sponsors

Justin Bieber will be wooing his beleibers this month as he kicks off his UK tour at the Manchester Arena on 19 February.

Justin Bieber tickets for UK gigs available from

Still only a teenager…really?  Justin Bieber is about to kick off the UK leg of his world tour when he will delight the  Beleibers with three dates at the Manchester Arena on 19, 21 and 22nd February.

Support for the teen bopper will be from Cody Simpson and Carly Rae Jepson.

Tickets to see Justin Bieber are available from now. Being a price comparison site we have shopped around and got you the best possible price for your favourite artist!

Although he is about tour the UK, fears are growing for the Canadian singer as stardom has hit him hard. Following the latest news of Bieber’s insults to The Black Keys drummer, the recent death of his paparazzi follower and his alleged affair with Rihanna, the singer has been warned by Take That star, Robbie Williams that it is ‘inevitable’ that he will hit a rough patch.

Robbie is said to be concerned that the 18-year-old is too young to be able to cope with the success and fame.

The Take That singer, who has himself battled with stardom and turned to drugs and suffered with severe depression, told The Sun, “There is a list longer than my arm of f***-ups. It’s inevitable that someone like Justin Bieber will hit a hard time.”

Maybe the Canadian teen should take heed of what Robbie has said. This week Justin has been acting very spoiled, after missing out on a Grammy nomination this year. He hit back after hearing comments from The Black Keys drummer, who told TMZ,com that Bieber should be happy as he makes a lot of money from his career, even though his music isn’t good enough to win.

Beiber childishly used Twitter and replied with: “The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around haha.”

Justin!…Just because you add a ‘haha’ following your comments doesn’t hide how spoiled and childish this comes across!

So, if I were you I would grab some Justin Bieber tickets before the kid goes off the rails!!

Tickets to see the Irish heart-throbs Boyzone are available from on Valentine’s Day.
Boyzone tickets available on on Valentine's Day

Ronan and Shane announced a 2013 tour to celebrate 20 years in the music industry. Tickets available on on Valentine’s Day

If you are lucky, then you will normally receive flowers or chocolates for Valentine’s Day. But this year why not give a big hint to the one you love, and ask for tickets to see Boyzone, which will be available on BritEvents this Thursday on Valentine’s Day (14 February).

Last month during his solo performance at the O2 Arena in London, Ronan Keating asked his band mate Shane Lynch to join him on stage. Fans were on the edge of their seat longing to hear the news that they have been waiting for since their 21 date ‘Brother’ tour in 2011.

Their fans were rewarded for their patience  and loyalty when the two band members announced on stage together that they will be touring Ireland and the UK at the end of this year in celebration of their 20th anniversary.

Tickets will be available from BritEvents this week, and as Shane told his fans: “Ladies, it’s the time of year you usually get flowers and chocolates. But now you can also get Boyzone tickets”.

Keith Duffy, who is now just as famous for his role in Coronation Street, has said that the tour in 2013 will also include a new album, which is going to be recorded at the O2 Arena in London, which is where they will play two of their tour dates during December.

Boyzone are the second most successful  boyband in Britain. They have released four studio albums and seven compilation albums in their 20 years in the music industry.

This will be a celebration for the band but will also have a sombre feeling as the band will be missing Stephen Gately, who died in October 2009 whilst on holiday with his civil partner, Andrew Cowles.

Their last album ‘Brother’ which was supported in their last tour was dedicated to their band member and included two new songs that were performed by Stephen before his death.

So, ‘No Matter What’ get your man to buy you some Boyzone tickets from this Thursday!!

Back to Broadway the musical will be hitting the bright lights of Derbyshire on 30 January at the Buxton Opera House and will make their way around the UK until 28 March where they will say goodbye from the Palace Theatre in Newark.

Counting Crows announce UK tour

The Californian American rock band Counting Crows have announced they will be touring Europe and will kick-start their UK leg of their long-awaited tour at Birmingham’s O2 Academy on 19 April.
Us rock band Counting Crows announce UK tour

At last the Counting Crows come back to the UK for spring tour

From there the ‘Mr Jones’ band will call in at Colston Hall in Bristol, London’s Hammersmith Apollo, O2 Apollo in Manchester and O2 Academy in Glasgow.

This tour is in support of their latest release, Underwater Sunshine. The album cover was created by the band’s fans who were asked to help design it. Due to it’s  success, the band decided to  use their fans to create a special poster commemorating their return.

Lead Vocalist, Adam Duritz posted a short statement on their website this week saying: ” All I could say when I saw the plans for a UL/EU tour was ‘It’s about time’. It’s hard to explain to fans why bands occasionally let so much time pass between visits. The truth is sometimes life just gets in the way and, before you know it, it’s been a few years. Personally, I’m just glad we’re going back. I have a lot of great memories of past tours. Remembering where we’ve been always gets me excited about where we’re going.”

Their amazing début album from  1993, and one of my all time favourites, ‘August & Everything After’ which features their hit track ‘Mr Jones’ has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and received an Academy Award nomination in 2004.

In August 2011 the album ‘August & Everything After – Live at Town Hall’ was released and featured live recordings of the songs from the début album.
