With the very sad new recently of the death of Amy Winehouse, it was a foregone conclusion that the Music Video Of The Week was Amy Winehouse with Valerie.
Amy sang her version of the song Valerie, originally by the Zutons, back in 2007. The cover version was featured on Mark Ronson’s album ‘Version’.

Amy helped this single and herself gain international acclaim.
Mark Ronson and his band The Business International returned to the stage over the weekend, following the Funeral of Amy Winehouse last Tuesday, where he dedicated the show to Amy singing a number of her songs.
He was later joined on stage by the late singers backing vocals and the author of the song Dave McCabe from the Zutons to sing an emotional tribute of Valerie in remembrance of Amy Winehouse.
During this emotional performance, Mark Ronson praised the star by saying, ” She made brilliant music, more than I’ll make in my entire life,” adding “It’s really lovely to play some music here for you tonight,” he thanked the crowd and said “That’s what makes everything better.”
