A disappointing week of votes for Music Video Of The Week! I suppose the bands weren’t everyone’s choice of music, but I was surprised that the vote didn’t go to Pendulum as they were playing at Glastonbury this weekend.

If you were lucky enough to be at Glastonbury, you will know the best of the weather was on Sunday, and watching Pendulum as the sun set was a spectacle in its self!

The band totally wowed the crown and whipped them up into a frenzy with new tracks and hits from their 2010 album Immersion and In Silico which was released in 2008.

That’s enough of them though, as it was Rob Zombie who got the vote for Video Of The Week this week with his hit Dragula.

Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie is a musician and film producer, and has been nominated three times as a solo artist at the Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance.

Dragula, was the name of a car in the classic TV show The Munsters and the song was featured in the first of the Matrix Movies and in the film Idle Hands.

Fans can still get Rob Zombie tickets from http://www.britevents.com, numbers are limited so grab what’s left now!

So…..”Burn through the witches and slam though the ditches” with Rob Zombie!

What would take your mind off a very important tennis game ahead of you?
Avoiding A Nightmare

Avoiding A Nightmare

A run in the park, relaxing meal out with friends or watching a full on horror movie?

Looking like an extra from ‘An American Werewolf in London’  that is exactly what Andy Murray did to take his mind of the game ahead of him against the German Tobias Kamke.

The British No 1 didn’t want to relax and enjoy a good film, he wanted to clear his mind of tennis by watching the 1996 horror film ‘Scream’.

Nice to hear that he didn’t watch a good film then after all!

Andy Murray spoke out about what he needs to do to take his mind off the fact that he is the only Brit able to clinch the Wimbledon title for the first time in 75 years.

The 4th seed said “I wasn’t watching it to relax….you normally pick the one thing that will stop you thinking about tennis, Scream did a pretty good thing”.

Murray who now faces unseeded Croatian Ivan Ljubicic in the third round tomorrow, on court number 1, has brushed off concerns about being place on the Number 1 court instead of Centre Court.

Murray speaking at his press conference yesterday said, “It doesn’t bother me…I don’t mind playing on any court, I just want to win”.

I wonder what Murray’s choice of movie will be for tonight perhaps it will be ‘Alien’ ..On court everyone can hear you scream!!

BritEvents.com have Wimbledon tickets available, they are very limited, so grab them while you can and see if you can watch “From Dawn ’til Dusk”.

Festival Season is upon us!

It’s not until Glastonbury’s here, that I get annoyed at not booking tickets again…………until I see the weather forecast!
Glastonbury

Glastonbury

The hype leading up to the festival this week is huge, checking out the rolling twitter messages from reporters already on site, you can feel the excitement from here just sitting at home.

The gates to Worthy Farm opened at 8am this morning (22nd June) with a stream of revellers descending on Britain’s biggest mud patch – Glastonbury. With news of  the farm only getting worse,  the first 60,000 of the 170,000 festival goers arrived today in a bid to bag the best camping spot.

Organisers, whereas, have been trying to reassure people by tweeting messages to them saying “dry, green grass and sunshine”. Unfortunately, weather forcasters have reported “heavy downpours in the afternoon, accompanied by blustery winds and even a crack of thunder”.

Wellies and waterproof clothing are among the top ten tips on BritEvents.com. So if you are off to Glastonbuy this week, check out our list and have a great time no matter what!

If you are unlucky enough not to be going to Glastonbury this year, don’t fret, it’s not too late to grab some V Festival tickets, as BritEvents still have a few on offer, numbers are limited so grab them while they are hot! Let’s hope that the V Festival stays dry and warm.

It was back to the 80’s with last weeks music video choice.
Culture Club's Boy George

Culture Club's Boy George

Once again it was my decision, as it was a tie. The winner was Culture Club with Karma  Chameleon.

Culture Club were formed in the 80’s, who brought together the sounds of new wave, soul, reggae and country. Culture Club amassed many hits in several countries between 1981 to 1986 including ten top 40 hits in the US, with most of them getting in the top ten.

Boy George, frontman for Culture Club has had his ups and downs throughout his career including a prison sentence for the assault and false imprisonment of a male escort in 2009. This was although followed by a successful run of concerts at the Leicester Square Theatre in London’s West End.

BritEvents.com have Boy George tickets available, so check us out and compare our ticket prices.

So, here it is a step back to the 80’s………….

What would be the last thing you would expect to find on the other side of your front door?
The Tiger Who Cam To Tea

The Tiger Who Cam To Tea

The Tiger Who Came To Tea is an  extremely popular children’s book and was first published in 1968, and over 40 years later still remains to be a children’s favourite!

Written and illustrated by Judith Kerr, the story is about a little girl called Sophie, who is just about to sit down for tea when the front door bell rings.

An unexpected guest appears in the form of a stripey tiger, who then joins them for tea and causes tea time mayhem!

For the first time this children’s classic story of chaos and fun is bought to life in amazing detail on stage. The show is jammed with sing-along songs, fantastic magic and surprises around every corner.

The Independent have called it “a modern classic”.

The show, adapted for the stage by David Wood, is  suitable for all children aged 3 and above, but I’m sure there are many adults out there who fondly remember the story, who would be happy to take their children along to see the Tiger come alive for real!

BritEvents.com have tickets for all performances of The Tiger Who Came To Tea at the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End. We are the only site that you can compare ticket prices, so grab your kids and your tickets and join Sophie and the Tiger for a spot of tea!
