Justin Bieber will be wooing his beleibers this month as he kicks off his UK tour at the Manchester Arena on 19 February.

Justin Bieber tickets for UK gigs available from BritEvents.com

Still only a teenager…really?  Justin Bieber is about to kick off the UK leg of his world tour when he will delight the  Beleibers with three dates at the Manchester Arena on 19, 21 and 22nd February.

Support for the teen bopper will be from Cody Simpson and Carly Rae Jepson.

Tickets to see Justin Bieber are available from BritEvents.com now. Being a price comparison site we have shopped around and got you the best possible price for your favourite artist!

Although he is about tour the UK, fears are growing for the Canadian singer as stardom has hit him hard. Following the latest news of Bieber’s insults to The Black Keys drummer, the recent death of his paparazzi follower and his alleged affair with Rihanna, the singer has been warned by Take That star, Robbie Williams that it is ‘inevitable’ that he will hit a rough patch.

Robbie is said to be concerned that the 18-year-old is too young to be able to cope with the success and fame.

The Take That singer, who has himself battled with stardom and turned to drugs and suffered with severe depression, told The Sun, “There is a list longer than my arm of f***-ups. It’s inevitable that someone like Justin Bieber will hit a hard time.”

Maybe the Canadian teen should take heed of what Robbie has said. This week Justin has been acting very spoiled, after missing out on a Grammy nomination this year. He hit back after hearing comments from The Black Keys drummer, who told TMZ,com that Bieber should be happy as he makes a lot of money from his career, even though his music isn’t good enough to win.

Beiber childishly used Twitter and replied with: “The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around haha.”

Justin!…Just because you add a ‘haha’ following your comments doesn’t hide how spoiled and childish this comes across!

So, if I were you I would grab some Justin Bieber tickets before the kid goes off the rails!!

Tickets to see the Irish heart-throbs Boyzone are available from BritEvents.com on Valentine’s Day.
Boyzone tickets available on BritEvents.com on Valentine's Day

Ronan and Shane announced a 2013 tour to celebrate 20 years in the music industry. Tickets available on BritEvents.com on Valentine’s Day

If you are lucky, then you will normally receive flowers or chocolates for Valentine’s Day. But this year why not give a big hint to the one you love, and ask for tickets to see Boyzone, which will be available on BritEvents this Thursday on Valentine’s Day (14 February).

Last month during his solo performance at the O2 Arena in London, Ronan Keating asked his band mate Shane Lynch to join him on stage. Fans were on the edge of their seat longing to hear the news that they have been waiting for since their 21 date ‘Brother’ tour in 2011.

Their fans were rewarded for their patience  and loyalty when the two band members announced on stage together that they will be touring Ireland and the UK at the end of this year in celebration of their 20th anniversary.

Tickets will be available from BritEvents this week, and as Shane told his fans: “Ladies, it’s the time of year you usually get flowers and chocolates. But now you can also get Boyzone tickets”.

Keith Duffy, who is now just as famous for his role in Coronation Street, has said that the tour in 2013 will also include a new album, which is going to be recorded at the O2 Arena in London, which is where they will play two of their tour dates during December.

Boyzone are the second most successful  boyband in Britain. They have released four studio albums and seven compilation albums in their 20 years in the music industry.

This will be a celebration for the band but will also have a sombre feeling as the band will be missing Stephen Gately, who died in October 2009 whilst on holiday with his civil partner, Andrew Cowles.

Their last album ‘Brother’ which was supported in their last tour was dedicated to their band member and included two new songs that were performed by Stephen before his death.

So, ‘No Matter What’ get your man to buy you some Boyzone tickets from BritEvents.com this Thursday!!

Us rock band Counting Crows announce UK tour

At last the Counting Crows come back to the UK for spring tour

From there the ‘Mr Jones’ band will call in at Colston Hall in Bristol, London’s Hammersmith Apollo, O2 Apollo in Manchester and O2 Academy in Glasgow.

This tour is in support of their latest release, Underwater Sunshine. The album cover was created by the band’s fans who were asked to help design it. Due to it’s  success, the band decided to  use their fans to create a special poster commemorating their return.

Lead Vocalist, Adam Duritz posted a short statement on their website this week saying: ” All I could say when I saw the plans for a UL/EU tour was ‘It’s about time’. It’s hard to explain to fans why bands occasionally let so much time pass between visits. The truth is sometimes life just gets in the way and, before you know it, it’s been a few years. Personally, I’m just glad we’re going back. I have a lot of great memories of past tours. Remembering where we’ve been always gets me excited about where we’re going.”

Their amazing début album from  1993, and one of my all time favourites, ‘August & Everything After’ which features their hit track ‘Mr Jones’ has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and received an Academy Award nomination in 2004.

In August 2011 the album ‘August & Everything After – Live at Town Hall’ was released and featured live recordings of the songs from the début album.

Shrewsbury will play host to the first food festival in the town on 9 and 10 June

Shrewsbury will play host to the first food festival in the town on 9 and 10 June

As readers of my event ramblings, you’ll probably know that I enjoy foodie events, with Ludlow food festival being one of my favourites.

So I was chuffed to be told that the organisers of the Ludlow food festival will be bringing their magic to Shrewsbury this June.

The organisers have predicted that the food event could bring in tens of thousands of pounds for Shrewsbury’s economy, and are expecting thousands to descend on the Shropshire county town.

This event will run separately from the towns other major festival, The Shrewsbury Flower Show which will be held in the park on 9 and 10 August, for more information on tickets to  the flower show go to BritEvents.com.

The food festival is being scheduled for 29 and 30 June 2013, where scores of the best restaurants in the town and dozens of producers to suit all tastes and budgets will be taking over the top end of the Quarry Park, from The Dingle to St Chad’s Church, which is within easy walking distance of the town centre.

The stalls are expected to be arranged in a courtyard style setting with 70 hand-picked artisan producers, and a marquee for cooking demonstrations.

There will also be plenty of talks and demonstrations, with ‘have-a-go’ at baking and a chance to learn some of the skills that local food producers use day-in-day out.

There will be plenty for the kids to do with music, entertainment and a crafts area during the event weekend and for the parents there will be a chance to try fine food and wine from across the county.

Some of the many great restaurants that Shrewsbury has to offer will be taking part in this unique experience, with menus to suit all tastes and pockets, with many taking part in the restaurant safari. The participating restaurants will be offering low-cost dishes that will give you a chance to sample their menus.

It’s also nice to see a great website called www.findmyfood.co.uk being involved in what is going to be an exciting and tasty weekend!

Entry to the Food Festival in Shrewsbury will be just £5 and for more information on tickets go to BritEvents.com

Welsh Rockers Stereophonics have been touring the UK this December to sold out audiences. Birmingham’s O2 Academy have announced today that a small batch of tickets have been added for tonight’s gig.

Stereophonics' new album 'Graffiti On A train' to be released in March 2013

More tickets added for the Stereophonics for tonight in Birmingham

The O2 Academy used their Facebook page to advertise the news this afternoon that more tickets had been released for the stereophonics later this evening (19 December).

BritEvents.com have also got tickets available for tonight’s event at the O2 Academy and tickets for the  Stereophonics gig in The Troxy in London for tomorrow night (20 December).

The Stereophonics who formed in 1992 in Wales, have had their fair share of sadness.  After playing their first ever gig in Cardiff City Stadium to a sold out audience of 30,000, the original drummer Stuart Cable was found dead in his home just two days later.

Audio Engineer Javier Weyler from Argentina replaced the original sticksman in 2005

Unfortunately in July of this year the band announced on Facebook and Twitter that Javier had left the band, but no explanation as to why the drummer had left was given.

In September of this year it was announced that the former drummer for the Noisettes , Jamie Morrison had replaced Weyler, and a month later the band released a video for the track ‘Violins and Tambourines’ from their upcoming album ‘Graffiti On The Train’ due for release in March 2013.

So, grab the chance of seeing one of the most underrated bands of the decade and get your Stereophonics tickets from BritEvents.com

The BBC’s Good Food show at the NEC in Birmingham was the biggest food event of 2012

logo (3)

The last-minute decision to pay a visit to the NEC in Birmingham to the Good Food Show Winter was a great idea of mine, even if I say so myself.

With a host of celebrity chefs at every corner, this food show was a must for foodies. On entering the arena, the show had a great buzz with lot’s of foodies enjoying a great day out.

Amazing shows in the Supertheatre

This year the Supertheatre was host to some amazing shows, including MasterChef Live, The Hairy Bikers, James Martin and John Whaite, the finalist from the Great British Bake Off.

There were hundreds of great exhibitors happily letting visitors taste their wares. The great thing about visiting the BBC Good Food Show during the week, is the amount of people attending is far less than during the weekend, therefore enabling you to move around the NEC comfortably and enjoy tasting more of the fine wines, beers and specialist whiskey, vodka and gins on offer.

Fancy bumping in to you!

There was plenty opportunity to meet some wonderful producers of some of the tastiest food the UK has to offer. It was also a lovely surprise to bump into a friend of mine Julia, from Shrewsbury who owns the amazing Sweet shop Toot Sweets, her stand looked amazing as did all her wonderful home-made chocolates.  It was also nice to see TV chef from This Morning, Marcus Bean owner of The New Inn in Baschurch (my local) on the M&S stage doing what he does best!

I didn’t manage to catch any of the shows in the Supertheatre as time was limited, and I was on the hunt for some great real ales for an upcoming real ale review for www.britevents.com. But I wasn’t disappointed as there was so much to see, and plenty of cookery demonstrations from top chefs in the UK on the M&S stage and various other stages dotted around the venue.

One of the best demonstrations was from Masterchef winner Shelina Permalloo and Andy Peters, they were very entertaining and great to watch.

The BBC Food Show is always a great day out and tickets for the Summer show in June 2013 are now available.

Valentino – Master of Couture

Posted: November 28, 2012 in Attractions
A major new exhibition celebrating the life and work of Valentino will showcase at Somerset House in London from tomorrow.
Celebrating Valentino's life and work at Somerset House in London

Celebrating Valentino’s life and work at Somerset House in London

Valentino started designing women’s clothing back in the 1950’s when he designed gowns for Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

The Italian designer is also famous for dressing Elizabeth Taylor, Gloria Guiness, Queen Paola of Belgium, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and Princess Margaret.

The wedding dress worn by Princess Marie Chantal of Greece is on show during this haute couture showcase, the gown took 25 seamstresses over four months to sew each minute stitch by hand.

Valentino would regularly make up to 30 – 40 drawings in one day when he was designing his haute couture designs.

This major new exhibition is divided into three sections; Visitors will start with a look into the world of Valentino with photographs from his personal and private collection, which will offer visitors an intimate insight into the life of the iconic master.

The exhibition then unfolds into a couture fashion show, where the roles are reversed and visitors are made to walk the catwalk to view the 130 breathtaking Valentino designs.

With the 1950’s seeing a renascence this is a thrilling way to see the original designs from an iconic fashion era.

The last section will show the painstaking process into the making of each design which is demonstrated by the beauty of the work done by les petit mains who sewed the stunning wedding dress for Princess Marie Chantal of Greece.

This final section will also allow an insight into Valentino’s life with a specially commissioned group of films.  Visitors can also discover more about the original jet set designer by exploring the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum.

For more information on dates, times and tickets for Valentino: Master of Couture go to www.britevents.com

The exhibition will open tomorrow (29 November) until 3 March 2013.
