Early revelers at Bramham Park in Leeds will be rewarded as the festival kicks off with local label ‘Dance To The Radio’, who have rounded up some of their top bands to take to the stage on Thursday 23 August. The Arena will be open at approximately 5pm to some of the best up and coming bands from the area.

Little Comets emerged in 2009. They released a debut album ‘In Search Of…’ and  have a rabid following. The Band sell out where ever they play throughout the UK. On the eve of this years festival, the band release their second album ‘Life is Elsewhere’.

Various Cruelties is the musical vehicle of Liam O’Donnell who have recently released a self-titled debut album through Hideout Recordings. There has been plenty of hyperbole following their emergent onto the music scene in 2010.

Scars on 45 are a band from Bradford who have found fame in the US, when one of their tracks was used on the hit show CSI New York. They  have recently performed on the Jay Leno Show and their debut album was picked as one of the top ten albums of 2012 by Amazon.

China Rats are a Rock ‘n’ Roll band from Leeds. Their pop-punk charm is inspired by a love of punk, 50’s pop and the best British guitar bands. They have recently got the attention BBC DJ’s Huw Stephens and Tom Robinson.

Likely Lads are a four-piece rock band from York. They have had over 400,000 YouTube hits, and are taking great strides towards becoming the most promising outfit to emerge from the North of England in a very long time.

These up-and-coming bands will be joining the Main Stage headliners Foo Fighters, The Cure and Kasabian, as well as The Black Keys, Paramore, Florence + the Machine, Kaiser Chiefs, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Vaccines, Justice, The Maccabees, At the Drive-in plus many many more.
