Sponsored by American Express the Summer Series at Somerset House has been an annual fixture since it started in 2001, and is set in the neo-classical space of The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court at Somerset House in London’s Strand.

With the feeling of an intimate venue, the acoustics are superior and the  atmosphere is electric…even when it’s raining.

There are some fantastic acts for this years Summer Series which kicks of on the 7 July with Ozzy comedian and musician Tim Minchin.

Tim Minchin has been performing his musical comedy since his UK debut in 2005, he has become a household name after recently writing the music and lyrics for Matilda the Musical.

Tickets to see Tindersticks

Tindersticks will be playing at Somerset House on 15 July during the hazy days of Summer sessions. After reforming in 2006 after a three-year hiatus they have come back stronger and more pertinent than ever . Their ninth album The Something Rain is a top 30 album in six countries across Europe.

Paloma Faith will be closing the Summer Sessions at Somerset House on 17 and 18 July. Paloma has been busy recording her second album Fall to Grace which will be available from 28 May. This album has had help from the Queen of pop herself Madonna and Massive Attack producers Nelle Hooper and Jake Gosling.
